FAQ's

What are Wax Melts?

  • Wax melts are small, scented pieces of wax designed to be gently heated to release their fragrance. They are like candles but without the wick, meaning that they require a wax burner to melt and diffuse the fragrance. When in use, they melt completely to create an even and strong scent distribution.

How do you use wax melts?

  • You simply take your wax melt and place one or more in your wax burner depending upon the strength of fragrance you're looking for. Light your tea light or turn on your wax warmer if it is electric. When you are finished using them, you just turn off or remove the heat source and the wax will solidify until you are ready to use it again.

Are wax melts safe to breathe?

  • Traditional candles that use paraffin wax are known to emit harmful chemicals. Soy wax is natural and not harmful to you or the environment... Because only the scent disappears, not the wax, meaning nothing is entering the air you breath, chemicals, rather than using candles. Wax melts are fine.

Are wax melts better than candles?

  • Wax Melts May Have More Burn Time Than Candles. Many factors can affect both the average burn time of candles and the average burn time of wax melts. The type of wax, amount of fragrance oil, and size of candle or wax melt can all affect the average burn time. Wax melts are preferred over candles for their burn time.

How long do Wax Melts last?

  • Each Artisan Wax Melt gives approximately 10 hours of fragrance and fills a room with the perfect balance of scent within minutes of burning. We recommend using 2 Artisan Wax Melts in bigger rooms or open plan areas within your home.

What is the best wax warmer?

  • Tea light warmers get hotter than electric so give off a stronger scent but I personally use both tea lights and electric warmers in different situations e.g. Tea lights are great in the kitchen where I can put them up high away from pets and children and in this room I want to have really strong scents to hide cooking smells.
  • In my lounge I prefer a more subtle background scent that lasts all day, so I use an electric warmer and as it a lot brighter than a tea light burner, it doubles up as a lamp

How do you remove wax melts from a warmer?

  • If your wax warmer is not on and the wax has hardened, we think it is easier to remove it by turning the warmer back on so the wax at least loosens in the warmer and is easier to remove as a solid piece! Be careful with this so you don't burn your fingers and be sure to wipe down any remaining with a paper towel and you’ll be good to go pretty quickly
